First of all, please be aware that this is not a traditional summer camp. We offer a Summer Learning Academy. The difference being one of our top priorities is to prevent what has become known as the “Summer Slide”. Research shows that students can experience significant learning loss during this long vacation, resulting in a decline in academic skills and knowledge retention. We combat this phenomenon through the use of our academic system that is proven to send students back to school, more prepared for success than when they left. Nothing brings us greater joy than being able to showcase the number of new skills mastered by students who attended last year’s program, in the chart above!

Ignite Your Child's Potential through the Ultimate Film and Youtube Experience!
In addition to a class specifically focused on academics, each day students will embark on a thrilling journey into the world of Media Production. They will be immersed into a multi-class rotation centered around different production genres.Â
Did you know that movies like “Suicide Squad” starring Will Smith, “The Mule” starring Clint Eastwood, and many others filmed scenes right here in the CSRA? With Augusta, Ga becoming such a desirable location for film making, this is the perfect platform for kids to begin exploring and envisioning themselves as future film makers! Along with getting a peak behind-the-scenes of how their favorite movies and shows are created, students will actively engage in the process of creating various productions and gaining practical experience.
Those participating in this program will spend the summer being challenged with tasks that improve critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as they take center stage as directors and producers. Participants will engage in a variety of activities that require teamwork and effective communication. These are skills that are essential for success in all aspects of life!
Youtube 101:
Increasing Digital Literacy
Our program goes beyond traditional film making to exploring the digital landscape. In our class titled Youtube 101, participants will learn the art of Youtube channel creation. Students will engage in practical exercises designed to teach them how to create a professional looking Youtube channel with banners, lighting, sound, and video editing effects. Although we help students develop these new skills, it will be left to the parents’ discretion if and when their child is ready to begin their personal journey into the world of content creation at home. Â
Movie Marketing 101:
Informing the Public
In our Marketing 101 class, students will understand the critical role marketing plays in the success of film projects. People can spend countless hours, rehearsing, filming, editing, etc. However, if there is no promotion campaign, all the previous hard work will go completely unnoticed.  Therefore, another class in our students’ daily rotation will focus on this subject. Here participants will allow their artistic genius to take center stage through the planning of merchandise prototypes, designing apparel, writing a commercial, and creating movie posters to showcase their productions.
Toyetic 101: The Licensed Toy Industry
When children are the target audience for a particular film, a vital part of the promotion campaign is the creation of toys. This industry is known as Toyetics. While learning how marketing works, students will build and program Lego robots for autonomous movement. Each scheduled robot project is designed to have our students create mini, Lego Replicas of items from popular movies, in the past.  Through this means, participants will learn about the aspect of the film industry that creates licensed toys for children.
Academic Enrichment
Personalized Approach: The primary reason for the proven success mentioned above is because we understand that one size does not fit all when it comes to education. Therefore, our system crafts a tailor-made academic plan for each individual student based on a skills assessment. The first example below was of a 2nd grader that lacked some vital 1st grade reading skills and the plan that was generated on the child’s behalf. The second image was of a 5th grader that was assessed above grade level in Language Arts. As a result, this student was provided a plan, in this subject, designed to propel them forward with the introduction of more challenging 6th grade skills!
